If there’s one thing that ties for first place as being a passion in my life, it is my love for writing. As far as I can remember I have always had a pen in my hand or a laptop on my lap and I would write for countless hours. When I came to college I struggled with being either a Psychology or English major, because my love for each was great. Psychology won, yes, but that does not stop me from writing. While in high school I took a poetry class for three years, and I took a playwriting class. At home I would sit daily in front of my computer and write fiction stories.
As of now I continue to write fiction stories, (which are slowly turning into novels) of which I hope to one day publish and have a side life as an author. It is one of my biggest dreams because writing is expressive and allows me to create and control worlds with an imagination that has grown since I was in grammar school. It is my greatest pastime, and it will continue to be for the rest of my life.

- My name is Kelly Leacock and I am a freshman attending Rider University. I am pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with minors in both Sociology and French. While in college I hope to study abroad in France in order to further develop my language skills, and also take Spanish courses to become acquainted with the language. Upon graduation I intend on entering graduate school in order to obtain a Master’s Degree in Developmental Psychology with a concentration in Child Development. On a more personal note, I would love to learn Spanish and Italian, and I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and sitting down to enjoy reading a good book. My weekends consist of writing poetry and fiction novels, and on Sundays I attend church. I love kids and the elderly and I am a firm believer in doing the right thing.
